SMACS

SMACS is a Show Management and Control System that was originally developed for an Agricultural show but can now be used for any show or event preperation, show/event entries and show day result logging.

SMACS was designed by an active show organiser and has been used extensively and improved over the years. Because it has been in use for many years and improved during this time, the pakage is very robust which is what you need on that critical show day. The system has been designed to be used by non-computer literate staff and because it is based on standard packages, the cost of purchase and maintenance is kept extremely low.

The main features of the SMACS system are as follows:-

Configurable for any size show/event whether it is a one day show or of many weeks duration.
Configurable for any type of competition category with multiple categories within one show/event (i.e. Horses, Sheep, Cattle, Donkeys, Flowers, Dogs, Motor Cycles, Boats, Model Aircraft, Cars, etc.)
Contacts lists with classifications (i.e. Member, Life member, Family members, Committee member, Judge, entry owners, Sponsors, Stewards, Exhibitors, Marshals, etc.). Each contact can have many classifications (e.g. a contact could be a member, sponsor and an entrant)
Membership details including subscriptions via BACS
Trade stand details including stand space costing etc.
Show Schedule creation ready for supplying to printers (including classes, class entry fees, prize money, Special prizes, rosettes etc.)
Competition entrants system including entrant details, entrant's owner details, class fees calculation etc.
Exhibitor passes, car parking passes issuing and payment system
Classes can be easily combined (i.e. classes that would be judged as one class if there are not enough entrants in each of the individual classes)
Catalogue and show guide creation for supplying to the printers. Includes the listing of all classes, events, entry lists, no of prizes, prize money, sponsors, Special Prizes, rosettes, Exhibitors lists, Sponsors lists etc.
Judges book printing (i.e. details of the classes a judge is judging with all the entrants that have entered the class) including results forms
Show/Event day result entry facilities
Real Time results listings which can also be grouped by various classifications or society (e.g. Donkey Breed Society, British Driving Society, National Pony Society)
Special prize facility which can be within one class, a group of classes or for any class within the show/event (e.g. best of show prize)
Any data in the system can be output in a form ready for putting onto a web site
Interfaces to standard Microsoft packages (i.e. compatible with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access)
History feature which can show previous years winners etc.
